What is Yin Yoga?

A Yin Yoga class usually consists of a series of passive floor poses that are held between 2 and 5 minutes. To stay as comfortable as possible in the poses, we use blankets, cushions and blocks.

During a Yin Yoga class you work the areas of the body that are especially rich in connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, fascia) in order to eliminate tension, obtain more peace of mind and re-balance your energy.

Yin Yoga symbolizes meditation, depth, immobility and stillness and opposes to Yang Yoga that represents action, superficiality and movement. Both are useful to live well and should be complementary.
